Safaris built from local knowledge
Bush Shrike Adventures is a locally based Uganda safari company offering personalized safari experiences across Uganda and Rwanda. With firsthand knowledge of our destinations, we help travellers discover East Africa’s remarkable wildlife, stunning landscapes and rich cultures.
Whether you dream of tracking mountain gorillas, watching wildlife on the savannah, discovering exceptional birdlife or exploring local communities, we tailor each safari to your interests, travel dates and budget. Our goal is to create a personal, rewarding and memorable journey from the moment you begin planning until your adventure ends.
How we plan
Planning your safari starts with understanding you. Tell us your travel dates, the experiences you dream of, how many people are travelling and your preferred budget and comfort level. We will help you choose suitable destinations, plan realistic travel times and consider important details such as permit availability and accommodation options. We can then tailor your itinerary to your interests before you confirm your booking, giving you the flexibility to create a journey that feels right for you.
What matters to us
We believe a great safari is about more than seeing wildlife. It is about feeling well cared for, learning from local knowledge and enjoying meaningful experiences along the way. We value professional guiding, honest communication, respect for wildlife and its habitats, and support for local tourism businesses and communities. Every journey should be thoughtfully planned around the traveller, with time to appreciate the places, people and wildlife that make Uganda and Rwanda special.
