Destination Guides

Destination planning for Uganda and Rwanda safari parks and regions.

Uganda and Rwanda destination guides

Start by deciding which landscapes matter most. Gorilla trekking points toward Bwindi, Mgahinga or Volcanoes National Park. Chimpanzees bring Kibale or Rwanda’s forested south-west into the plan. Classic wildlife suggests Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Kidepo, Lake Mburo or Akagera. Then connect the route in an order that keeps transfers sensible.

Uganda route logic

Western Uganda circuits are easy to connect in sequence: Murchison, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Mburo. Kidepo, Karamoja, Sipi and Jinja work better as an eastern/northern journey or a longer extension.

Rwanda route logic

Kigali provides a central starting point. Akagera lies east, while Volcanoes and Lake Kivu sit to the west and north-west. This makes a triangle-style route practical for many first-time visitors.
